HIV training and technical assistance for Wisconsin health care professionals

The Midwest AIDS Training + Education Center-Wisconsin (MATEC-WI) provides training, education and technical assistance to health care providers and organizations in Wisconsin who care for individuals with HIV.  MATEC-WI is the local partner of the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center (MATEC), and is based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health.

MATEC-WI training activities focus on supporting physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, social workers, pharmacists, and others involved in HIV prevention and care. Activities are designed for both experienced and newer HIV care providers.

Training formats include virtual and in-person workshops and lectures, case conferences, hands-on supervised clinical training, and specialty conferences. Medical faculty and MATEC staff provide consultation in person, via Zoom or telephone, or by e-mail.
