Dr. Michael Potnek, an internal medicine provider from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, earned his nursing doctorate from Marquette University. He has trained in diverse settings, including a Department of Corrections, an urban American Indian health center, and a large hospital. He is also graduated from MATEC’s HIV Clinical Scholar program in 2021.
Board-certified in adult and geriatric medicine and an HIV specialist, Dr. Potnek practices general primary care with expertise in geriatrics, diabetes, kidney and lung disease, hepatitis C, Gender Affirming Care, and weight loss management. He is also a faculty member at Marquette University. Dr. Potnek is dedicated to optimizing health through collaborative partnerships, focusing on personalized, culturally sensitive care and empowering patients with health education.
